[Top] Hall Pays Air Visit To Long Beach —————— Backer of World Flight Travels From Oklahoma To See His Daughter —————— Long Beach, July 24. (Exclusive) --F.C. Hall, backer of the Gatty-Post world flight, arrived here by plane today to visit his daughter, Mrs. Winnie Mae Fain, sponsor Of the ‘round-the-world ship. Hall, An Oklahoma oil operator, landed At the Municipal Airport at 1:30 P.m. completing a record flight from Oklahoma City with Frank Hover as pilot. The sister-ship of the Winnie Mae, flown by Hover, made two stops on the trip, leaving Oklahoma City early today. "Just a sporting proposition," was The way Hall described his sponsorship of the world flight. He has no additional plans in aviation, which he considers transportation in his petroleum business. He will spend ten days in Southern California visiting his daughter and son-in-law. Leslie Fain, and will fly back to Oklahoma in the reconditioned ship which will go to a Southern California factory for overhaul during his sojourn here. |
