July 5--(4")--Two days of rest and relaxation in the quiet of Long Island "?" have fit-ted the world fliers, Wiley Post and Harold Gatty, for their next fling with fame, a White House luncheon. They were headed back for New York early Sunday night on the Yacht, Saelmo?, whose owner, William H. Todd, shipbuilder, has been their Host since Friday. Fliers Enjoy Rest For more than 48 hours the two men have been able to sleep, to loll in desk chairs, to fish and to golf to their heart’s content. The only scheduled event on their program Sunday was a stop at Hamp-ton Party, including the fliers’ wives and F.C. Hail, backer of the flight, were guests for luncheon at the home of former Governor, Alfred E. Smith. The crowds that would have dogged the path of the men who girdled the glove to less than nine days, had they been within reach, went out to Barren Island over the week-end in-stead. There tens of thousands saw the roped-off plane Winnie Mae. Ship is Overhauled Sunday night the ship was put in shape for its next hop, a trip to Washington Monday morning, where the fliers and their backer will be guests of President Hoover. It was announced Sunday. The sister ship, a Lockheed-Vega Next in line in the plane owned by F.C. Hall, is in service on the Hous-ton to Oklahoma City run of the airline. Other firms offering planes to take city officials to Chickasha are Bleakley-Johnson Flying Service Standard Roofing Co. and Curtiss- Wright Flying Service.
