POST SUCCESS PLEASES HALL —— Backer of Wiley Says Rest Should Be Easy. —— F.C. Hall backer of the Post-Gatte projected around-the-world flight said Wednesday night that in reaching [left side picture of F.C. Hall] Berlin from America. Post had accomplished "one of the most difficult flights ever attempted." He predicted the fliers would complete their global circling journey in seven days elapsed time. "My opinion expressed so many, many times as to the ability of Wiley Post as a flier has been more than verified even at the termination of the first leg of his flight around the world," Hall said in a statement. "He has accomplished even now one of the most hazardous and difficult flights ever attempted. When he completes his flight which will be, I predict, in not more than seven days Elapsed time, he will have accom-plished more than any flier to this date. "He is extremely modest and more of the Colonel Lindbergh type than anyone I know, but I hope that the people of America will take time to Consider what he has done and give him full credit. "This flight has cost both Post and myself (no one else sharing any of the expense with us) a great deal of money, but we feel well repaid now that he has conquered the Atlantic and a most hazardous and dangerous part of the flight." |
